About the Role

Join the Creative Learning team!

We are looking for an individual who appreciates the value of administration and can confidently communicate with a range of stakeholders (both internally across teams and externally with schools and other Creative Learning networks). A high level of proficiency in using computer software programs is desired. Interest in marketing and communications appreciated.

The vision for Creative Learning programming at ACM is to support and facilitate creativity and Creative Learning in the arts for all ages and all communities. These experiences provide opportunities for participants to create, connect, share, participate in and experience transformative creative projects and inquiry based learning. The Creative Learning program is a leader in the performing arts learning space, from digital/audio storytelling, music, sound and media technology, as well as professional development for artists and teachers. Enriching the lives of students and strengthening communities through world-class programming, Creative Learning offers programs that are accessible, broad reaching and respond to the needs of diverse audiences.

The Coordinator, Creative Learning will be key in supporting schools ACM experiences onsite, online, and offsite. As a member of the Creative Learning team the role will be responsible for communication and relationship management with schools and Creative Learning audiences as well as assist in the facilitation of key events, such as Teacher Professional Development offers.

Full time, ongoing position, band 3.1 salary $76,574.00 per annum plus superannuation.

 

Your Skills and Experience (Key Criteria)

  • Notable administrative experience including intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience within or strong understanding of the Arts sector
  • Experience within or strong understanding of the Education sector
  • High customer service focus with a pro-active approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrable experience collating data and preparing project related reports
  • Experience in the use of an integrated venue management system is desired (Ungerboeck and Tessitura)

About the Team

The Arts Centre Melbourne Programming Unit sits within the Performing Arts pillar and is responsible for delivering:

  • a breadth and range of presentations at Arts Centre Melbourne’s own risk that meet the organisation’s curatorial framework and complement the provision by Resident Companies and external presenters;
  • a number of events that contribute to the overall venue utilisation targets at Arts Centre Melbourne; and
  • a program of education/Creative Learning, participatory/public realm, access and inclusion, community and public programs that meet the organisation’s public purpose obligations.

The business unit is comprised of program management, artform programming, education, coordinating, and producing team members.
