About the role
We are delighted to announce that an opportunity exists for a Production Scheduling Coordinator at our Deer Park Emulsifier Manufacturing site based on a full time, permanent contract.
Reporting to the Production Superintendent - the successful candidate will be responsible in managing production schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring efficient production processes. This role will involve working closely with our SAP 4S system by overseeing the production workflow from raw materials to finished goods.
What you will be doing
- Create and manage a detailed production schedule and subsequent handover to the operations team;
- Optimise schedule considering capacity, maintenance jobs, production labour, and material availability constraints;
- Maintain effective communication with operations to identify any delays or challenges and address them promptly to ensure smooth production flow;
- Utilize SAP 4S system to create planned production orders, manage production postings and goods receipting;
- Monitor inventory levels, assist in stocktakes and advise on the procurement of raw materials;
- Manage on-site waste, including identifying disposal or rework options for non-conforming waste; and
- Ensure compliance safety regulations, and company policies.
What you will bring
- At least 2 years of experience in Production Scheduling required, preferably in a batch manufacturing environment;
- SAP Production Planning experience is a must have;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required;
- Continuous improvement and planning/inventory qualifications preferred;
- High attention to detail;
- Solid interpersonal & communication skills and ability to influence others.
