About the role
We are seeking an experienced Leader to spearhead our property team, ensuring the efficient management of the Council's property portfolio. Leading by example, you will provide strategic guidance to bolster the delivery of Council services and programs, all while overseeing critical tasks such as acquisitions, disposals, and leasing requirements. This role presents an exciting opportunity for you to make a significant impact supporting a bustling and highly engaged interface council within the Local Government sector.
About you
This role would suit a seasoned Leader who has extensive knowledge and understanding of property management in a local government context with demonstrated ability to accurately interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy. Your outstanding interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills, including discretion and judgement in working within a complex administrative and political environment will allow you to succeed in this fast-paced role.
You will also require:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience managing property preferably in local government or state government organisation, including leasing, management, sales and acquisitions.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of property management in a local government context.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and investigations into property and real estate matters and achieve quality outcomes.
