To be successful in this role, you will need to work independently with close support from your manager in delivering programs for various sized groups and in different areas (in offices, around the city, at a hotel or resort).
Required skills:
- Great communication and people skills with individuals and a large audience of up to 150 people.
- An ability to take ownership of an event and co-ordinate all aspects on the day including staffing, client liaison, planning, facilitation, MCíng and execution of the event.
- Reliable, positive, flexible and honest.
- Confidence in presenting to small and large groups with an outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Email).
- Drivers license.
Desirable Skills:
- Senior First Aid Qualification – current.
- Sport & Recreation or Events Management qualification and experience.
- University degree (Bachelor of Health and Education / Communications / Business).
Remuneration:
- $50 - $70 per hour with reimbursements for out of pocket expenses while at events (like CBD parking)
- Plus 11% Superannuation
Currently this position is being offered in a Casual capacity with the vision to build up the workload for the right candidate to become permanent within 12-18 months. In the interim, shifts are sporadic throughout the week and time of day. You will be expected to travel up to 3 hours away from Brisbane CBD to facilitate programs in Byron Bay, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, with your travel time being compensated.
The events hosted range from Amazing Race style programs to indoor workshops presenting a keynote with Powerpoint Presentation.
Intensive 1 week training provided to give you the skills and confidence to facilitate our wide ranging activities and programs!
