The OpportunityWe are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cost Controller to join our team. You will assist in managing contracts, procurement processes, variations, EoT Claims and Cost control to ensure the smooth execution of our projects.
Responsibilities- Facilitation of procurement, with the project team
- Supervision of cost control
- Relationship management with clients
- Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and variations.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and legal teams to ensure contract terms and conditions are understood and complied with.
- Assist in reviewing bid documents, proposals, and vendor qualifications to support the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Monitor contract performance, progress payments, and compliance with project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
- Assist in resolving contract disputes, claims, and issues in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders as needed.
- Assist the contract closeout process by reviewing final documentation, processing payments, and resolving any outstanding issues or disputes.
- Proven experience as a Cost Controller or in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of construction.
- Excellent, written and verbal, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to organize and manage efficiently.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial projects
- Positive attitude and problem-solving initiative
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A Police Check is a requirement for this job.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft projects, Microsoft suite
