The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager and based in Darra, the Customer Account Managerwill be responsible for supporting, managing, and overseeing the delivery of the Technology team service operations. Their primary objective is to ensure that VAE Group not only meet all contractual requirements but also consistently deliver our promise of "Built in Certainty" to our customers.

Some of the key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and lead the Technology Service Technicians and subcontractors to achieve optimum delivery of maintenance and solutions to the Service business and customers
  • Work with Technicians, sub-contractors and customers to continuously improve their sites and to find/resolve the root cause of site problems
  • Play an integral part in the preparation and delivery of reports and forecasts
  • Provide a high level of team technical support 
  • Maintain and build client relationships, as well as improve customer satisfaction results 
  • Deliver business results and growth for existing and new contracts 
  • Manage regular team compliance and identify areas for continuous improvement 

What makes you stand out

The successful candidate will demonstrate their experience in a similar management role, an understanding of the challenges of working in a dynamic and fast-growing business, and possess the following attributes:

  • Tertiary and trade background (Building Automation preferred with a HVAC background) with a high level of understanding in engineering standards which are applicable to the role
  • Tridium Niagara knowledge and experience, and/or other building automation controls technologies 
  • Experience supporting sites utilizing building data and analytics to drive maintenance outcomes
  • The ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong leadership, particularly with respect to value adding, safety and customer service
  • Competent project management skills
  • Ability to understand and analyze financial statements, project forecasts and service trends
