The Customer Development Leader – Specialty eCommerce is pivotal in developing and managing the relationships and supports the Mars Petcare Strategy to accelerate eCommerce performance through effective account management of eCommerce customers. This involves preparing, negotiating, and executing joint business plans based on the aligned customer strategy, with a focus on executing the portfolio and promotional plans and increasing conversion. This role will receive support to enhance both Mars and the Associates digital eCommerce capability with a globally led capability journey plan.
In this role, you'll seek to achieve set business objectives by managing the partnerships between the organization and accounts in all aspects including customer satisfaction, action planning, budgetary management and eComm strategies. Whilst the basis of this role is Account Management, the true value of this role comes from the strategy and the ability to create new and innovative ways to partner and accelerate capability.
What are we looking for?
Degree qualification in commerce or business discipline preferred but not essential.
Previous sales Account Management experience in omni channel or pure play environment.
Proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
Skilled negotiator with proven track record of delivering mutually beneficial outcomes in complex and volatile environments.
Strong financial acumen including experience managing trade spend inside fixed budgets.
Understanding of core category principles including ability to evaluate performance and establish strategies to improve outcomes.
Digital native and eCommerce shopper.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Contribute to the total financial performance of the Specialty/eComm channel by delivering against agreed targets, consistent with the customer.
Conduct end to end account management including identifying effective portfolio and new listing.
Collaborate with the Perfect Digital Store manager and Shopper Marketing to execute plans that sees Mars best in class in Content, Availability, Reviews and Search.
Engage in robust & tailored individual and enterprise-wide training to accelerate eCommerce capability.
Establish and maintain key partnerships within customer across all divisions of their organisations to ensure detailed understanding of customer capability and strategic direction to identify opportunities to partner, activate, share expertise/data, and drive mutual growth.
Engage in global eCommerce forums to identify opportunities for the Australian market.
