The Role
We are seeking a junior Data Analyst to join our team and support the development of CleanPeak's business, achieved through both organic growth and M&A. If you love data, finding insights and seeing the benefits of your analysis put into action, then this is the job for you.
This is an entry level role and we will provide you with significant support and training to get up-to-speed on the energy market and enable you to develop yourself for further career opportunities.
This role will support our Investment, Finance & Operational teams with the following tasks:
- Creating & updating energy and asset databases.
- Deliver data verification and creation of single source of truth for company wide data.
- Develop deterministic rules regarding data errors and missing information.
- Maintain rigorous data reconciliation against prior period data based on industry standards.
- Reviewing and creating revenue models and contract management application.
- Seek ways to enhance data collection, dissemination and integration with business systems.
- Design and develop analysis to better interrogate the data to improve business processes.
- Recommend operational improvements through data insights.
Your Background
You will bring the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in a commercial, engineering, mathematical or IT discipline
- Demonstrated ability with MS Excel and data processing tools and databases
- Python, SQL and/or any database related languages will be a distinct advantage
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent written & communication skills
- Experience in or knowledge of the renewable energy or electricity utilities sector will be highly regarded
