Data Governance Specialist

In this role, you'll:
Provide guidance and expertise on Data Governance structures to support the development and implementation of Data Governance Management strategies. This includes ensuring alignment and integration of data and information horizontally across the division and cluster.
Contribute to the development and promotion of secure data sharing and democratization within Transport divisions and between government agencies, including adherence to the Open Data Policy
Design and implementation of Data Governance policy and/or data management strategy/methodology/solution plus proven capabilities to engage stakeholders at various levels in these areas on socialisation and embedding of the Data Governance and Management frameworks and standards to achieve cluster Data and Analytics vision and roadmap.
Collaborate on the definition of Data Governance requirements for each area and level of data platforms as well as movement between platforms and work with enterprise data architect to design and implement across cluster.

About you

• We are looking for a hands-on Data Governance Specialist who has demonstrated experience in Data Governance and management methodology/framework and their practical application.
• Strong experience in development of the strategy and execution roadmap in relation to protection and governance of data and knowledge of data management is vital to be successful in this role.
• Proficiency in Power BI is essential, and a working knowledge of AWS is highly regarded.
• Strong stakeholder focus with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
• You are also a collaborative team member who enjoys brainstorming, has strong communication skills and is disciplined and organised.
• Data management experience in financial service industry or consulting experience will be highly regarded.
