Reporting into the Senior Manager, Data Management we have an incredible opportunity for a Senior Data Governance Specialist to join the Allianz Technology Team. The main objective of this position is to spearhead the adoption of robust Data Governance practices, ensuring proper management of data throughout its lifecycle-from collection and organization to storage and reporting.

You'll be responsible for

• Formulate and uphold AAL data policies and standards aligned with the data strategy and capability framework to ensure the proficient handling of data throughout its lifecycle.
• Assist in crafting and executing a Data Governance operational model based on Allianz Global and AAL-specific Business Data Domains.
• Educate the business on essential Data Governance functions, fostering a culture of responsibility to safeguard the organization's data assets.
• Design Data management frameworks and processes for crucial business areas encompassing Metadata management and data quality.
• Devise performance and operational metrics to gauge and monitor the efficacy of Data Governance implementation.
• Institute the Data Stewardship function in collaboration with stakeholders and application technology SMEs to prioritize and devise solutions for enhancing data asset quality.
• Offer continuous support to established Data Governance bodies such as Data Stewards, Data Owners, and data working groups, along with stakeholders, to deliver comprehensive metadata management capabilities spanning people, processes, and data.

• Experience in Data and Data Management domains with focus on Business domain models.
• Experience in implementation of Data governance processes and tools for Data Governance, data quality management, Data modelling, Reference Data, Master Data and Meta data management.
• Strong understanding of Data Stewardship functions and their operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
• Ability to communicate abstract data management concepts into business related terminology.
