DC Operations Manager (Outbound)

This lrge DC in Welshpool is modern, complex and the result of many years of planning. Of course, this will draw out everything you have learnt from your previous operational experience.
This is a two shift operation, with a team of line managers and TL's across receiving, dispatch and picking. They have a range of customers, with a healthy mix of SME customers. Ideally, you bring experience leading large teams (100 plus)
As the effective 2IC to the DC Manager, you will have a clear runway to step up into the ‘big chair’ as you undertake the following:

• Oversee the workforce resourcing plan and generate a strong, positive culture through engagement mutual respect, radical candour and genuine recognition
• Ensuring outstanding customer service levels are maintained by improving operational efficiency, undertaking continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction exercises while maintaining high-quality standards
• Maintain and improve upon performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance, analyse trends, and identify areas for improvement and most importantly provide outstanding customer service
• Supporting best practices for inventory control, including accurate tracking, replenishment strategies, cycle counting, and minimising stockouts to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction
