Position Overview:
The Dean (Education) will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to Metavision Institute's academic programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Dean (Education) will oversee a team of 7 direct reports and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with TEQSA regulations and accreditation standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the Institute's reputation, implementing robust governance structures, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elevate Metavision Institute's reputation and market position
- Identify, report, and manage risks associated with academic programs
- Implement the Teaching and Learning Plan to enhance student outcomes
- Ensure compliance with TEQSA regulations and accreditation standards
- Lead disciplinary processes and uphold academic integrity
- Mentor academic staff and foster a culture of scholarship and research
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the student experience
- Represent Metavision Institute in the wider community and build industry partnerships
Selection Criteria:
- Track record of academic leadership (Levels C-E)
- Relevant to the discipline of counselling, psychotherapy, ecotherapy, and/or holistic practice, or similar.
- Demonstrated strategic leadership in academic governance
- PhD qualification relevant to the discipline
- Experience in continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and influence academic staff
- Understanding of higher education standards and regulatory frameworks
