Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Principal at Upper Coomera State College, Secondary School Campus. We are seeking a highly-motivated person to join the Secondary School leadership team.
This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, from 08 July 2024 until 13 December 2024 unless otherwise determined.

About the Role
Working in the Secondary School as the Deputy Principal you will:
- Lead staff across all levels of curriculum planning and implementation, utilising the Australian Curriculum, Department of Education, and QCAA policies. Including implementing support to teachers for the transition to Australian Curriculum version 9.
- Collaborate with teaching teams to support seamless curriculum delivery in subjects across P-12.
- Foster positive relationships with the local community.
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, parents and education stakeholders.
- Applying positive accountability and case management processes to create positive change in teaching and learning practices of staff.
- Development of quality teaching and learning, and planning the right social and emotional curriculum, intervention and support at the right time, to provide quality schooling for all students.
- Be actively involved in the Secondary School Leadership Team to lead and progress College AIP and strategic plan priorities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be an effective communicator with excellent skills in developing positive relationships and have the ability to function to a high standard in a team environment.
- Possess a sound knowledge of Essential Skills of Classroom Management and knowledge of Positive Behaviour for Learning.
- Be highly regarded if you have experience and demonstrated knowledge in classroom profiling, inclusive education, Reboot, restorative justice practices, and developing student wellbeing.
- Have excellent understanding of all levels of curriculum planning, and implementation of Australian Curriculum, including version 9.
