About the OPPORTUNITY
We currently have a rewarding Desktop Support Engineer opportunity based at either Edinburgh Parks, South Australia or Melbourne, Victoria. Hybrid working arrangement and 9 days a fortnight full time working arrangements are on offer.
Reporting to the End User Computing Support Lead, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of our desktop and application infrastructure. You will play a key role in providing analytical and deep dive resolutions to complex issues and escalations, ensuring that users are delivered a stable, secured and fit for purpose computing environment.
More specifically, you will
- Provide end to end issue resolution, level 2 investigation and root cause analysis of Windows desktop and end point devices
- Act as an escalation point for service requests
- Maintain a high level of system integrity and security compliance
- Provide guidance on computing concepts and troubleshooting techniques to customers and support teams
- Assist with the recommendation of hardware and software solutions for various projects and business deliverables
- Assist with the planning and implementation of Windows operating system patching and infrastructure upgrades
- Create and maintain support configuration documentation and standard operating procedures
About YOU
- Enthusiasm for customer support and promoting a high level of customer engagement
- Demonstrated experience in a customer focused environment
- Excellent level 2 and 3 troubleshooting skills and a consistent, analytical approach to problem solving
- Proven ability to support Microsoft desktop and business applications
- Proficiency with desktop automation, PowerShell and other scripting languages
- Experience with virtual desktop presentation infrastructure
- Confidence to manage priorities and work under pressure
