About your team
Sitting within the Property Group, the Project and Sales Team is responsible for delivering residential developments which satisfy and fulfil the requirements of DHA’s Corporate Objectives, managing construction of properties to meet provisioning requirements, overseeing property sales, and developing and implementing Property Group related marketing activities.
About your contribution
As Development Manager, you will plan and lead complex development projects to achieve business objectives, on time and on budget. This includes the delivery of green or brown field residential development projects, including rezoning processes, managing and evaluating project risks, as well as influencing business outcomes to align with DHA’s goals and objectives.
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum 10 years’ experience in the delivery of residential development projects with broad experience in residential land, housing and/or medium density housing development.
- A proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse, cross functional project team to achieve outcomes.
- Experience with problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong record of delivering complex development projects and achieving results.
- Experience with the preparation of project programmes and feasibilities and the management of development budgets in a commercial environment.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to confidently present in a clear, concise and articulate manner, proven negotiation skills and strong commercial business acumen.
- An ability to evaluate risk, negotiate and influence outcomes in an environment characterised by contentious and high-profile issues with senior executives or stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualifications in a property-related discipline (property construction and engineering, project management or equivalent long term industry experience).
