Overview
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) has a requirement for multiple DevOps Engineers to provide diverse administrative and IT related tasks within the department.
The successful candidate/s responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Create build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps Services
- Develop architecture documents to illustrate deployment processes
- Document agile development practices and processes
- Modify and implement templates for D365, Azure DevOps Services and cloud components
- Work with project officers to implement automated processes within agile software development methodologies in line with service management requirements
- Assist in the training of departmental staff in development practices
Implement enterprise DevOps Architecture components, integrations or bespoke development required for enterprise agile delivery.

Essential criteria
1. DevOps Engineering Experience with modern and legacy coding languages and associated build processes, versioning and packaging. Experience implementing static code analysis, unit testing, and quality gates. Experience with Power DevOps tools. Experience producing reports for SLAs and KPIs of DevOps operations. Experience with .Net/ASP and Javascript. 30 %
2. DevOps Integrations Experience with integration of service connections. Experience with integration of 3rd party and custom DevOps tools. Experience with integration of cloud components and SaaS products. Experience with integration of reporting platforms. Experience with integration of service management tools. 15 %
3. Cloud Experience Experience with Azure Cloud, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, security controls and deployment templates. Experience with multi-cloud. Experience with hybrid cloud.

4. DevOps Architectures Experience in producing DevOps architectural patterns that are reusable and scalable. Experience in multi-cloud, hybrid and legacy build and release architecture. 15 %
5. DevOps Support Experience working collaboratively with teams in guiding software development activities to achieve automation efficiencies and traceability. Experience in operational support for DevOps software components. Experience in operational support in maintaining build and release pipelines. 20 %
Desirable criteria
1. Multi Cloud and Technology AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Terraform experience is desirable. D365 cloud capabilities. Jenkins, Maven and WebLogic experience is desirable. SaaS CRM experience is desirable. Selenium experience is desirable. 35 %
2. Departmental Processes Experience with existing Federal Department systems and architecture, especially one that had a regulatory function. Experience with government change control and ISM requirements is desirable. 35 %
3. Reporting Experience with data models, and reporting visualizations using Microsoft Power BI is desirable. 30 %
