About the role
We seek a skilled Digital Marketing Specialist to join the Y NSW's Marketing and Communications team. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will optimise our Y NSW online presence and ensure maximum visibility and search engine rankings. In this role as our in-house SEO, SEM, and digital specialist, you'll be an essential member of our team, seeking out innovations, heading up advanced campaign strategies, and sharing your passion for Digital Marketing with our team and our internal clients across the Y NSW's Community Recreation, Children's Services, Outdoor Education and Campaign, Youth and Community Services and Brand portfolios.
Reporting to the General Manager of Brand, Marketing, and Communications, the role provides the opportunity for strategic and hands-on creative work with a fantastic team and in collaboration with our creative agencies.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Conduct thorough keyword research
- Conduct website audits, analyse and optimise website performance
- Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to enhance organic search results
- Manage the Y NSW websites
- Prepare regular performance reports
- Stay proactive in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Assisting with developing and delivering digital campaigns including Google and social to achieve objectives.
- Accountability and budget management for all campaigns in the Digital Marketing portfolio
- Provide support and advice for our Operational teams with local Digital Marketing - Google My Business listing and website updates
About you
Our ideal candidate will have completed a bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or any related field, experience in an agency or an in-house marketing role, a good understanding of SEO principles, and experience with digital campaigns on social media. Proficiency in Google Ads and social media tools and technologies is preferred. Excellent communication skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for Digital Marketing are essential.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in marketing or a related discipline
- Proven experience in Digital Marketing and SEO
- Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush)
- Ability to stay ahead in the ever-evolving SEO landscape
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and a solutions-focused mindset
- Confident team player who is eager to develop their skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with email distribution systems or willingness to learn
- Professional with integrity and values.
