The Role You Could Play
As Digital Product Owner, you will work closely with the Senior Digital Product Manager to collaboratively define and drive the product vision, roadmap and customer experience strategy across MECCA’s website, mobile app, and digital content platforms. Working closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional product teams, you will help with defining a customer-centric roadmap that strikes the right balance between meeting current needs, tackling technical debt, and unlocking new opportunities.
Day to day, you will be involved in the following and more:
Partner with technical and development teams to ensure product initiatives are delivered
Identify, map and synthesise customer pain points, needs, wants and gains
Prioritise initiatives on a fortnightly (sprints), quarterly and half-year cadence
Act as an advocate for new ways of working through the practice of core product and agile values, principles and behaviours
You will be passionate about customer experience, understand best in class global trends in digital, how to drive customer value, and desired business outcomes to ensure that our digital roadmap puts MECCA ahead of the pack.
What You Will Bring
You will have proven experience in managing digital products, ideally within the retail space or customer centric product organisations. You will have both theoretical and practical knowledge of product management frameworks, processes and methodologies, with a proven record in defining product requirements based on research, data and insights.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
Highly analytical with the ability to use data to help inform decision making
Numerically strong, and commercially/value minded
A solid understanding of digital platforms, capabilities and integrations
Highly collaborative and thrives in working within cross-functional teams
The ability to breakdown large complex problems/pieces of work into smaller, manageable goals/releases
You will need to be an inspiring storyteller with the ability to evangelize and rally support for your product vision, mission and roadmap across development teams and the broader organization. This role would suit someone who is collaborative and thrives in working within cross-functional teams, and with the broader organisation with the ability and flexibility to succeed in a fast-pace and innovative environment.
