Director, Corporate Finance & Business Development

Numbers Executive is pleased to support a large, diversified institution engaged in education, research and property & infrastructure development with the appointment of a Director, Corporate Finance & Business Development.  A role at the helm of a new, exciting and innovative growth strategy, we're seeking an experienced Corporate Finance professional with greenfield project development and structuring skills.

Playing a pivotal role in driving the success of greenfield projects through the lifecycle of development, the Director Corporate Finance & Business Development will be responsible for leading origination and execution activities of multiple complex transactions.  This will involve developing and articulating strategic rationale for the transaction, collaborating with senior leadership to align business goals, leading the formation of a comprehensive transaction plan and overseeing all transaction workstreams (including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, risk allocation and integration planning).  The Director, Corporate Finance & Business Development will also be responsible for building and leading project teams, collaborating with cross-functional departments and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success.
Required skills & experience

The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting (or a relevant discipline) and likely post graduate qualifications in finance (CA, CFA).  A minimum of 10+ years leading and executing complex transactions with exposure to greenfield development is required, likely gained in a large capital intensive corporate or funds manager (potentially advisory).  Prior experience supporting the lifecycle of greenfield projects through commercial, financing, risk allocation, development, construction and operating phases will be highly regarded, as will strong deal negotiation and communication skills.
