Join us as Drives Service Engineer for the Motion Business Area where you will be providing professional, timely and high-quality technical service and support for ABB Drives products as part of the delivery of Drives Service products and project engineering to ABB's customers, in line with the RMDR Policies and Procedures. Reporting to MOSE Drives Operations Manager and this position will be based in Canning Vale, Australia.
Your responsibilities
Delivering high quality, technical and timely support to our customer though your technical expertise and superior customer service focus and repairing and maintaining of ABB Drives onsite and in ABB workshop, whist minimized rework and at a high technical focus
Providing commissioning, faultfinding and troubleshooting on drive product range based on your certification with a focus on ensure customer satisfaction, high quality reporting and without warranty issues
Taking ownership in the requirements to ensure you maintain and build on your ability to provide high level technical support for the ABB Drives product, industrial processes, drives applications and systems, PLC, and legacy equipment
Be available for site and workshop work, to achieve target utilization (>80%) and ensuring you understand the service offering and can articulate this to our customers in each interaction
Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are always followed
completing submission of FSR’s, QP’s and other relevant documentation, including expenses etc. and be available to travel at short notice and maintain certifications according to training plan
Ensuring you maintain and update the business of all electrical licenses and associated qualification including status change, logging, and maintaining your license detail in the database
Your background
Degree, Diploma or Trade qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer
Hands-on experience, along with knowledge and experience in maintaining, commissioning, and repairing AC & DC drives and drives systems.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work autonomously without supervision is essential for success in the role
Highly organized, with the ability to priorities and plan jobs to meet customer requirements within agreed timeframes
Industrial process application knowledge of variable speed drives and experience working in automated manufacturing or mining industries would be highly regarded along with a current electrical or restricted electrical license
