Education & Care Practitioners
Lady Gowrie is seeking Certificate III (or higher) qualified Education & Care Practitioners for our Midway Point & Penna Services. Lady Gowrie is a non-for-profit community-based organisation providing Education and Care to children from birth to 5 years of age.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have multiple opportunities available at our Education and Care Services in Midway Point and Penna. These services are located 22 minutes from Hobart City. Both locations have free onsite and street parking and are close to public transport.
Our Education and Care Service at Midway has 20 – 38 children across 2 rooms. Our Penna Service, you will be caring and educating 15 - 30 children between 3 – 5 years of age.
As part of the role, you will:
- Develop and implement exciting educational programs for children to spark wonder, investigation, connections, and possibilities!
- Interact with and supervise children.
- Ensure a safe environment for children, you and your team.
- Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with our families.
- Undertake and provide regular documented observations on learning and development.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development, by accessing professional learning opportunities.
- Always work within the Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s policies and procedures
ABOUT YOU
- Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care; or
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or equivalent); or
- Be actively working towards your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.
- Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Value and understand the importance of family communications.
- Have Strong, respectful, and open communication skills.
- Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Child Related Activity)
- Police Check
