Christian College Geelong is looking for a full-time Education Support Officer to join the team until the end of 2024.

Education Support Officers (ESOs) work as part of the Learning Support Team. The role involves supporting students with their learning needs, within classrooms under the guidance of a teacher.

A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a knowledge of educational and learning principles and demonstrate an understanding in providing care and support to students with learning needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide learning support to students with specific learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, mental health issues and social\emotional disability 
• Develop positive rapport with students 
• Liaise and seek feedback from teachers
• Communicate the students’ progress and any adjustments that may have to be made to accommodate learning needs
• Work within the classroom
