This role is a 6 month contract based opportunity with a high chance of renewal. A flexible, hybrid work environment ensures a great work-life balance - this is a Geelong based position and requires some time spent in office. This is a full time position open to Australian Citizens only.
About the Role
The Home and Living Division within the Providers, Partners and Home and Living Group is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Home and Living, and for actively stewarding and shaping the Home and Living market for both capital and non-capital supports.
The EL2 Director Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Reform will apply a significant experience in a Government, community services and/or housing context to provide expert senior management, Executive Leadership Team, NDIA Board. It is responsible for influencing and developing strategy, policies, priorities and operational practices in support of the Agencies goals.
Responsibilities
Some of the requirements of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Designing, developing and implementing reform strategies that deliver on Government priorities for SDA and achieve specific agency objectives for Home and Living.
- Engaging with state and territory governments to influence their design of innovative housing models, addressing ageing and legacy SDA stock as well as
- Using quantitative and qualitative data, including input from technical experts, to build evidence informed recommendations on reform.
- Leading development and implementation of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework along with proactive issues and risk management.
- Communicating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders including drafting of written material including strategies, plans, executive briefs, ministerial correspondence and corporate documentation on SDA reforms.
- Australian Citizenship (required)
- Significant experience in a Government, community services and/or housing context
- Extensive stakeholder management expertise
