A bit about the role
Joining the passionate Child Youth and Family Team, you will be engaging with young people in The City of Casey, in relation to health planning processes and wellbeing.
You will play a leading role in delivering the Kids Co-designing Healthy Places program, a Monash University project supported by VicHealth.
Kids live, learn and play in the places councils look after. By including them in the design process we can build healthier futures together.
What you’ll deliver
Facilitate the Kids Co-designing Healthy Places program in schools and community settings
Capture and represent the views of young people, applying inclusive and co-design principles
Build the capacity of stakeholders to integrate the voices of young people and children into program and policy development.
Advocate for the voice of young people and children to be embedded in Council policy.
Implement evaluation tools to collect data and measure outputs and outcomes
What you’ll bring
Tertiary qualifications in youth work, social work, welfare, education or related field.
Experience working with young people and facilitating youth programs
Understanding of co-design principles and inclusive practice
Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate
Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
