About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for providing planning support to the Production Superintendents. Using your solid mine planning skills and operational experience you will develop effective working relationships with the operational and planning teams and will ensure the efficient execution of short-term plans and schedules in an autonomous haulage environment.
The roster will be 5/2 & 4/3 with the option of FIFO, but is open to discussion for the right candidate.
Your key deliverables include:
- Supporting the development of the Mine Short Range Forecast (SRF) and identifying improvement opportunities for increased performance and safety;
- Identifying and recommending solutions around enabling activities to support the SRF compliance;
- Analysing and reporting on weekly and monthly performance;
- Supporting and identifying interactions in Week +1 horizon to ensure delivery of SRF;
- Defining performance trends and make recommendations for improvements;
- Optimising dig and dump sequence to maximise productivity.
About You
We are looking for an experienced candidate that has proven resource industry and site-based experience and leadership potential. You will be innovative with a bias to action, effectively influence others and have a strong ability to lead change.
To be successful you will demonstrate the following:
- Overriding commitment to safety;
- Degree Qualified Mining Engineer with +3 years Open Cut experience in bulk commodities
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions;
- Ability to engage with all levels of the business from frontline employees to senior management;
- Proficient use of production systems, MS Office suite and mining software, including Vulcan.
