Engineering Manager

Gastech have been established for over 20 years in conversion of internal combustion engines to run on alternative fuels.

We have invested heavily in our R&D facility which is one of few in Australia, with hydrogen storage and supply.  Combined with our engine dynamometer and load bank facilities compliant to European hydrogen standards, our business is well equipped. 

We are excited to be rolling out our brand new Hydrogen PrimeDF technology to the world.  PrimeDF is a revoltionary multi fuel system enabling the conversion of internal combustion engines (ICE's) to run on clean, renewable hydrogen.  It is well positioned to help the hydrogen industry, accelerate demand.

Our business requires an Engineering Manager to rapidly scale up and multiply the number of engine applications for PrimeDF in heavy transport, power generation, industrial, mining and other sectors.

We are currently based in Mordialloc, VIctoria. 

We are looking for an mechanical, electrical or electronic engineer with a sound knowledge of internal combustion engines with at least 5 years of experience in a management role.  It is desirable if you have had experience in R&D applications  You will manage a dedicated team of highly qualified mechanics, technicians and engineers, some of whom have many years of automotive, motor racing and gas technology experience.  A very knowledgeable crew.

We require sound experience in project management and engineering software applications. Proven use of disciplines and systems such as FMEA, ERP, QMS, 6 Sigma and other related methods , would be highly valued.

Experience in one or more of the sectors mentioned above or the automotive, energy/renewables, or energy sectors would also be beneficial.

This role will engage with major corporates, governments and leading universities.

You are a mechanically minded individual who is passionate about engines and have a keen interest in innovation, advanced technologies and you embrace change.  Whilst you have studied an engineering discipline at least to a bachelors degree level, you have delved into other fields of technology and have a broad knowledge of all things technical.

You like projects to be well organized and communicated and completed on time.  You can handle multiple issues and love working with a team to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
