Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside motivated and passionate teammates and add value to the delivery of Alstom's scope on the Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business, taking care of safety programs and the technical writing of procedures / forms to develop and maintain the Environment, Health & Safety, and Rail Safety Management plans and much more. You'll specifically monitor safety performance and review / test emergency plans and delivery of safety induction training.
We'll look to you for:
Supporting the project leadership team in creating and driving a 'safety first' culture
Assisting in the delivery and review of the EHS & Rail Safety management plans for the project
Conducting incident investigation and auditing
Manging project EHS documentation and compliance
Preparing statisitcal reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Onsite support during track possessions, inluding occasional night shift and weekend work
All about you
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have;
Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace, Health & Safety
Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within Rail, Construction, Heavy Industry or a 'high-risk' environment
Initiative, drive and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the project
A sound knowledge of safe working systems, legislation, rules and procedures
The ability to participate in night shift and weekend work ocassionally
