They are looking for an environment system officer to join their infrastructure and operations department.
Your new role
You will be responsible for providing environmental management and system support the organisation’s assets and activities. Most importantly, you will ensure that activities and projects do not harm the environmental assets.
Additional accountabilities:
- Lead the maintenance, auditing and continual improvement of the organisation’s environmental management system.
- Develop and present reports on various environmental management issues, including incident investigations and project performance, to ensure quality and timely information is available for informed decision-making.
- Interpret environmental legislation to provide specialist environmental advice and knowledge to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop clear and comprehensive documentation of environmental requirements across the EMS
What you'll need to succeed
You have knowledge and experience with the ISO14001 framework EMS. Furthermore, you have the ability to provide specialist advice on environmental monitoring requirements and interpretation, incident investigations and feasibilities, remedial design, risk, auditing, environmental approvals and management of emergency response actions. You have highly developed knowledge of legislation pertaining to environmental protection and management.
