Estimator - Lines

The Utilities Strategy and Growth team are requiring an Estimator (Electrical) to support the Substations Construction projects. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert or a recent graduate, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst guiding and advising various stakeholders toward cost-effective and consistent estimation outcomes of project delivery.

The Utilities Strategy and Growth team are requiring an Estimator to support the Substations Construction projects. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert or a recent graduate, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst guiding and advising various stakeholders toward cost-effective and consistent estimation outcomes of project delivery.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Cost preparation and estimation for all aspects of transmission line construction.
• Review and analysis of RFT packages and subcontractor quotations.
• Negotiate and influence business solutions pertaining to costing, budgeting and contractual requirements.
• Prepare project bid status reports, provide/ implement tender solutions and ensure compliance across contract specifications and documentation.
• Utilise historical, market and industry data to produce pricing estimates and review actual costs throughout project lifecycle for comparison of accuracy of estimates.

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent trade knowledge, applied through Estimator positions in transmission lines construction, substations and electrical experience.
• Previous experience with Candy system would be desirable;
• Proven ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with clients and vendors;
• Focused and results oriented, driven by excellence, highly autonomous with a sense of urgency; and
• Strong business acumen with a sound understanding of the commercial drivers.
