Redsteps Marketing is looking for an innovative, creative and customer focussed Event Coordinator to join our team.
This role involves working on monthly markets for retail precincts, council events, corporate events and craft activations.
We are a supportive and innovative team located in Pakenham. We offer flexible hours and working days as well as ongoing training opportunities. There are a few things we are proud of; we have sit-stand desks, paid travel for event days, table tennis tournaments, visits from our pets and visits from our children during school holidays.
The role:
Working alongside our director in the delivery of events, your role will primarily be event coordination but can encompass event promotion if you are interested in tackling this element as well. You will be provided with assistants at large events to help with the running of events.
This is a full-time or part-time role that is to be worked from our Pakenham office, at your home if desired, and also at the event locations that are throughout Victoria – from Sunshine to Warragul.
- Event coordination
- Assisting in the creation of site maps
- Assisting in development of risk assessments and permits for events
- Booking staff and talent for events
- Sourcing elements for events such as decorations and furniture
- Booking and managing stall holders
- Curating themed events
- Community liaising
- Stakeholder management
- Bump in and out of events
- On site during event days – often on weekends
- Monitoring social media and email accounts
- Generating post event reports
- Event promotion
- Briefing in graphic designers to create the artwork for events
- Coordinating print materials for events
- Planning and writing social content to promote events
- Advertising of events on Facebook and other digital platforms
- Creating images and video content of event
- Generation of Facebook events and website pages
About you
You must have attention to detail, be self-motivated, able to manage your time, have great interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in events or marketing or similar.
