About the role
Our events team is a passionate group of professionals that strive to create amazing events for clients and their families.
Working closely with the Venue Manager, and events team your responsibilities will include:
Build, execute and review strategies to meet revenue targets for the Function/Event stream of the business.
Manage events/function calendar.
You will be responsible for confirming all event detail with guests, ensuring information is communicated to the relevant departments for the successful execution of each event. Continue to grow & build relationship with key business & industry contacts.
Event planning and efficient execution of event
Answering and responding to inbound phone and email enquiries and delegating to the appropriate business units.
Liaise with all department heads, Venue Manager, Head Chef on forthcoming events and functions.
Conduct client site inspections.
Provide regular forecasting reports to Financial Controller.
Actively participate in relevant industry/hospitality/tourism industry networking events.
Actively promote functions/events on all social media forums.
Assist with rostering for events and functions.
Supervise and close off a shift if required if running an event or function.
About the successful candidate.
We are looking for individuals who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and think on their feet,
Previous experience in event management preferred but not essential.
RSA certificate preferred but not essential.
Previous sales experience, not essential but preferred.
Excellent presentation skills & professionalism.
Must have good time management: run calendar efficiently.
Good computer skills and communication skills
Excellent multitasking skills
Show initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the internal and external customer of the business.
Ability to drive growth in new & repeat business for functions and events.
