Ambrose Construct Group are one of Australia's largest Insurance Repair Specialists, with offices nationally. Due to our recent expansion, we are seeking an experienced Estimator/Supervisor to join our FIFO events team based out of Sydney.
We are seeking motivated, trade qualified Building Supervisors who are keen to join our Events Team in a FIFO capacity, to prepare for the upcoming storm season.
The role:
- Travel to events when required (10/4 off)
- Undertake the correct method of repair to achieve the ‘first time repair’ and outstanding customer satisfaction
- Create a scope of works with accurate costings
- Ability to recruit, manage and maintain sub-contractors
- Maintain an effective channel of communication with National Event Manager & Construction Manager and all Clients as required
- Contribute to the financial viability of the repairs by managing all aspects of cost control balanced against quality of repair
- Work in line with Australian relevant building codes and local standards
- Contribute to and comply with all statutory legislation including the relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures applicable to Ambrose Construct Group
- Up to $200 daily allowance in addition to salary
- A full and valid driving license
- Trade qualifications
- Competency in completing carpentry / plastering / painting repairs
- Diagnose and prioritise specific work activities and tasks
- Experience in working within occupied/vacant properties
- Experience in ensuring all working materials are present in order to meet service demands
- An understanding of responsive maintenance within insurance repairs is desirable
- Experience of working with a multi-skilled trades team (within occupied/vacant properties) is desirable
- Experience of work delegation and data transfer through electronic hand-held devices (mobile working) is desirable
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work in a systematic and organised manner to cope with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to diagnose and prioritise specific work activities and tasks
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible, caring, and professional approach to customer care within a wide range of work situations
