About the role:Reporting into the Events and Functions Manager, you will be the primary contact for our customers throughout the entire event process, from initial enquiries to the completion of the event. Whilst this position is predominantly administrative, the ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and be able to assist operationally with events if required.Key duties include, but are not limited to:Demonstrating excellent knowledge of functions packs across venues, providing clients with accurate information and quotes, and up-selling functions packages.Managing customer enquiries and complaints via call and email.Driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence and building rapport with new and existing clientsConducting market research to identify new markets and customer needs.Managing records of sales and invoices accurately with a high attention to detail.Liaising with operational departments to ensure clients’ needs are delivered.General administrative tasks to support daily operations of the Catering TeamAbout you:Experience in Functions/ Events in the hospitality industryProven track record of driving sales and generating new business.Ability to build rapport and maintain key internal and external relationships.Excellent customer service skills and a strong client focused approachWilling to occasionally work outside normal business hours including evenings and weekends to attend eventsExcellent communication skills – both written and verbal.Why you should join Parra Leagues!Free tickets to Parramatta Eels home games and discounted Eels merchandiseFree Onsite parkingFree Staff meals and soft drinkPaid Volunteer DayA vibrant and healthy staff culture built on and driven by our SPORT values – Service, Passion, Openness, Respect and Teamwork.Quarterly and annual rewards between $500 and $5,000.Fun - we work hard and play hard with regular staff social events.
