Astute Financial Management is a leading financial services company based at Toowong (4 km from Brisbane CBD). We support over 500 finance brokers and financial advisers throughout Australia and New Zealand.
This position provides comprehensive support to the Managing Director and senior managers for meeting and event organisation and travel bookings. General office administration functions and front of house duties are part of the role.
In this position you will work with the Management Team to build out an events schedule for the year, research venues, send out invitations and manage responses. You will also work with the team to develop agendas and appoint speakers.
The role also includes coordinating an annual conference with over 300 attendees based at a location within Australia.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Past experience in Events Management/ PA roles supporting senior managers
- Past experience with office management duties
- Proficiency with travel bookings
- Ability to assist with organising events
- Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong, polished communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Professional manner and presentation
- High self motivation and dedication with a practical approach
Your responsibilities will include:
- Office Management (including office supplies and amenities, premises contact and basic HR functions)
- Domestic & International travel arrangements for staff
- Organising and assisting with corporate Events including, Professional Development Days, meetings and preparation of supporting material
- Screening of calls for the office and referring/handling as appropriate
- Email management (including printing, filing, actioning and draft response preparation as appropriate)
- Day to day diary management (including arranging meetings and providing/following up on all required paperwork prior to meetings)
- Correspondence & mail management - ensuring items are actioned/referred appropriately
- Attending to other business and personal matters of the director as directed
- General administrative and overflow support
