We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our friendly team as Events Manager.
This is a full-time position based in Mascot, NSW.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Responsible for all event preparations; liaise and effectively work with operations team to ensure accurate delivery
- Handle and lead all corporate events from start to finish
- Prepare proposals for conference, catering, corporate, socials, etc. including residential
conference - Complete and oversee all floor plans for all events to ensure they run successfully
- Financial accountabilities of events
- Effective time management; ensure all critical deadlines are met
- Develop and implement sales plans and events in line with the overall business strategy to
drive revenue, occupancy and room rates. - Convert enquiries into confirmed business opportunity to maximise revenue while providing
exceptional customer experience - Fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the Branksome Hotel brand and to effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace.
- Maintain up to date product knowledge of key competitors, general industry trends, and other market intelligence and insight.
- Client familiarisation trips, site inspections etc. as needed.
- Establish and maintain client databases
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven track record in conference, event management or event planning, within the hospitality or events industry
- The ability to adapt to the business' development and change.
- Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- The desire to succeed.
- Outstanding communication abilities.
- Have a positive attitude and collaborate well with various departments to help establish a consistent and productive working environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented and time-management abilities.
- Strong client-relationship and business-retention capabilities.
- Must be available to work on weekends if required, including flexibility to working days/hours based on business needs.
Terms and conditions will be discussed with the successful candidate. Remuneration on offer is $75,000 - $80,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
