The role:
Executive Assistant will:
- Provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the Chief Nurse and Midwife (CNM).
- Provide office management support services to the Office of the Chief Nurse & Midwifery Officer (OCNMO).
- Prepare complex documents including Ministerial correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes and background notes to ensure the smooth administrative operations of the Office of the Chief Nurse & Midwifery Officer.
- Maintain an efficient and effective electronic and physical records management system in line with Agency policies and processes and legislative requirements, including providing support and training to facilitate the transition to an electronic document management environment.
- Ensure quality standards in the provision of executive and administrative support are maintained, including compliance with Agency policies and procedures.

The team:
The Office of the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer (OCNMO) is a small, high performing, outcomes focussed team. The OCNMO provides strategic leadership and professional practice advice on a diverse range of issues relating to the nursing and midwifery professions. Our priorities focus on, but are not limited to, strategic planning, policy, workforce, research, education and training locally, nationally and internationally.
Details of Appointment
Fixed term full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $71,661 - $77,455 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
