ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Council are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our Executive Support team in this new and exciting role. Providing a full range of administrative support to the Director Community and Culture, you will be responsible for the preparation of correspondence, reports and presentations, along with providing timely and effective diary management.
The successful applicant will require:
Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in an administrative support position with particular emphasis on supporting a senior manager or executive level role and dealing with confidential and/or sensitive information
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
High-level computer skills in Microsoft Office
Ability to work on multiple tasks, identify priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects efficiently and effectively
Previous experience in meeting procedures and processes
Ability to handle challenges and utilise problem solving skills
Ability and willingness to work flexibly in a team environment
Strong organisational and judgement skills, with the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities
Excellent diplomacy/public relations skills.

Position information: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands office, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.
Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,584.79 to $1,822.51 per week, plus 10.5% superannuation
The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
