Are you an organized, detail-oriented self-starter looking for a dynamic role in the heart of democracy? The Queensland Parliamentary Service is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the First Clerk Assistant (Committees). This pivotal role ensures the smooth operation of the Committee Office, which supports seven portfolio committees, the Ethics Committee, and the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee and works closely with all of our service areas to make that happen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain records, correspondence, and the diary of the First Clerk Assistant (Committees).
- Schedule committee proceedings and maintain the online committee business schedule.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate committee logistics.
- Organize training, advertising, and financial document processing.
- Compile reports, manage statistical data, and update web content.
- Oversee administrative tasks, equipment maintenance, and visitor programs.
- Coordinate internal meetings, draft agendas, and take minutes.
- Lead and participate in working groups and projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of services for the committee office and for the Parliamentary Service
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an administrative or executive support and coordination role.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in office software and case management systems.
