Are you ready to lead with passion, innovation, and a commitment to excellence? South Coast Baptist College invites you to join us as our dynamic Executive Business Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education in our vibrant community!

Position Requirements:
As the Business Manager, you'll report directly to the College Principal and collaborate closely with the Board of Directors. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including financial management, procurement, records management, and liaison with external bodies, ensuring smooth operational management and financial (together with the Finance Analyst as appropriate) management and reporting. You'll play a crucial role in guiding our college towards its strategic objectives while upholding our ethos and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Spearhead financial strategies, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
• Human Resources and Payroll Activities: Collaborate closely with our HR team to ensure seamless operations of payroll, contracts, and compliance.
• Procurement: Seek out competitive tenders and advise on optimal procurement strategies.
• Records Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with privacy laws.
• Liaison with External Bodies: Stay abreast of funding schemes, regulatory changes, and maintain key relationships.
• Property, Security, and Cleaning Management: Oversee facilities, maintenance, and OH&S compliance.
• Information Technology Management: Lead IT infrastructure management and software licensing.
• Project Management and Compliance: Drive strategic projects and ensure compliance with regulations.

Selection Criteria:

• Knowledge of Independent Christian College operations and culture.
• Membership of professional bodies (e.g., CPA, CA) and relevant qualifications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven track record in financial management and organizational leadership.
• Excellent ICT skills and ability to embrace change.
• Commitment to upholding our ethos and fostering positive relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make tough decisions.

Essential Criteria:

• To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
• To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
• To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
• Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
• Work to ensure personal best practice.
• Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
• Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
• Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
• Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
• First Aid certificate is desirable.
• Working With Children Card.
