The Royal Automobile Club of Australia (RACA) is an exclusive and prestigious club, located in a heritage-listed building adjacent to Circular Quay. With a rich history of over 120 years, the Club is seeking to fill the position of Executive Chef, overseeing the day-to-day operations. The Executive Chef will ensure the delivery of high-quality food and customer service, and lead and enhance the organisation’s performance and the capability of all kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Leadership: Take the reins in a dynamic kitchen environment, driving innovation and setting the culinary direction for this prestigious club.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Commercial Acumen: Manage the financial aspects of the kitchen, including budgeting, cost control, and procurement.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with, event organisers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional dining experiences for all occasions.
- Team Leadership: Lead a talented brigade, working alongside multiple leaders to inspire, mentor, and develop the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a high-quality, large multifaceted kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills with a track record of creating innovative and delicious dishes.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences and exceeding expectations.
