Experienced Appraiser-Bookkeeper (With A Twist!)

Healthcare Practice Sales is a niche online business broker in the Health sector servicing clinic owners Australia wide. When medical, physio and other healthcare clinic owners need to sell their clinics, our expert team prepares the purchase price estimate, sales prospectus, marketing approach and buyer networks to assist clinic owners in achieving their settlement.

This 10hr per week Part-Time role is 100% work from home.

Requiring daily hours Mon-to-Fri during business hours. Immediate start.

Our nation-wide clients require an experienced appraiser/bookkeeper to join our Appraisal estimates team. Together and following company processes, you will calculate purchase price estimates for their healthcare business. This role prepares the estimates of the goodwill of the business and assets the businesses carry including plant and equipment and stock. Value estimates are based on various estimating methodologies.

This role would suit ONLY those applicants seeking Part-Time work. We are looking for a long term staff member to join us! It would also suit an enrolled trainee in valuations and we would support financially this traineeship.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to expand our small team with this exciting opportunity for a part-time Appraiser. Due to the flexibility of the role the person can be based anywhere in Australia.

This role will have the following key responsibilities:

• Understanding and analysing Profit and Loss statements is key
• Using company systems and procedures to deep dive into client businesses within the healthcare industry, to review key quantitative and qualitative data to calculate profit metrics and the appraisal estimates
• Think critically, help identify outlier expense trends and consider materiality of such financial data
• Comply with company procedures to document the commercial rationale that supports the estimation opinions determined
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders including clients regarding business reports and forecasts to help understand the true value of a business
• Follow company processes to store and catalogue client data
• Manage client expectations around appraisal estimates
• Note: This is NOT a bookkeeping role for AP/AR invoicing

Qualifications, Experience and Skills required:

• You love finance numbers! And calculating financial numbers is your thing
• Have a very keen eye for financial detail and be analytically minded
• You have a can-do attitude and enjoy a career “sea change”

• You will be resilient with a strong work ethic and mentally adaptable and coachable in learning new financial data analysis
• Proficiency in analysing P+L reports and trading accounts
• Proficiency in Excel and technology in an enterprise setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular data migration in OneDrive
• Ability to build robust relationships at all levels, internally and externally
• Clear and effective communicator with clients and staff
• Compliant with Privacy and Confidentiality best practices for sensitive information
• Strong, reliable internet for online technology tools & daily use of Teams
• Home office setup, incl monitor/webcam and separate keyboard for provided work desktop

Highly desirable:

• Experience in a like role and the preparation of business valuations
• Experience in financial and management reporting
• Candidates able to work mornings every day [Mon-Fri]
