Mission Statement:

The HV Lilydale Export Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving sales for the full product portfolio for the Capacitors and Filters Product Group (2128) in global markets outside of Australia and New Zealand, working with World-Class Front-End Sales Organisation, Sector Leads and BU Sales Organization.  Drive and execute sales strategy to achieve budget sales targets and continued success of products and systems including new products/systems to the portfolio.

Lead colleagues across the business to deliver on portfolio sales objectives focused on identifying customers, building relationships, following appropriate sales process steps, and executing commercial negotiations. 

Ensuring handover of orders to operations is seamless and set up for success in executing the project resulting in customer satisfaction, testimonials and repeat business.

Your Responsibility:

  • You will define the global sales strategy for the portfolio to achieve annual sales targets.
  • You will align sales and market strategy with global strategy with GPG and other PQP Operating Units.
  • You should establish sales plans for the portfolio as per the strategy to achieve targets.
  • You will manage sales pipeline for the portfolio with input from own sales opportunities, front end and account management.
  • You will provide sales forecasts to the business and refine sales plans to achieve targets.
  • You will determine business and portfolio development activities for long term pipeline development.
  • You will lead marketing and promotion activities for the portfolio.
  • You must identify growth opportunities with existing customers and new customers targets.
  • You must build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Ensures efficient marketing communications and communicates the value proposition of the offer to current and potential customers. Negotiates with customers to finalize sales contracts.
  • You must ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets for Local product group.
  • You must determine market price data and intelligence for individual sales opportunities.
  • You will negotiate suitable terms and conditions of sales with customers with support from business functions including contract terms, payment terms.
  • You must monitor client financial status and notes changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.

Your Background:

  • Tertiary or degree qualifications in Engineering (electrical), or recognized equivalent.
  • Min 10 years’ experience in sales or delivery in Capacitors and Filters.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Power Quality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial aspects of business.
  • Assertive business acumen and able to collaborate across the broader business at a senior level.
  • Knowledge of Estimating and tendering processes.
  • Computer literacy and competent in using Salesforce.com (preferable), MS office and MS Project.
  • Time management, co-ordination, accuracy, attention to detail and performing in a pressure environment are necessary.
