The School is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Facilities Officer to join our School.
This all-rounder will be involved in the ongoing maintenance of the School’s buildings and the upkeep of the extensive grounds and gardens.This is an ongoing, full time position and involves work during term time and school holidays, with 4 weeks leave a year.
Daily hours are 7.00am to 3.00pm, however some flexibility is required. Start date to be negotiated with the successful candidate, to commence as soon as possible.
Previous school facilities and maintenance experience would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prune plants, fertilise gardens and lawns, weed garden beds and mow lawns.
- Ensure that the grounds are well maintained and free of debris and litter.
- Maintain the automatic water reticulation system including the bores and basic reticulation repairs.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance to School buildings.
- Install, move, store and relocate furniture and equipment as required.
- Assist with the management of waste disposal for the School.
- Ensure security, smoke detector alarms and other automated systems (such as air conditioning and lighting) are effectively maintained and operated.
- Assist in setting up and clearing up for special School events.
