Qualifications & experience
- A qualified solicitor with a current practicing certificate. 1 year + experience.
- Proven experience as a Family Law Solicitor, handling a wide range of Family Law cases.
- In-depth knowledge of Family Law legislation, procedures, and precedents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Competent negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a subtantial caseload and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various Family Law matters, including divorce, parenting matters, child protection under Queensland Law, domestic violence, and property settlement matters.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal issues to develop effective strategies for clients
- Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court documents.
- Represent clients in Family Law, domestic violence and child protection proceedings, negotiations, and mediations.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals, such as barristers and mediators, to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Stay updated with changes in Family Law, domestic violence and child protection legislation and precedents to provide accurate and up-to-date advice.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Manage a caseload efficiently, meeting deadlines and prioritising tasks effectively
