About the organisation and the position
A global biotech company, offering diagnostics solutions, is currently seeking a dynamic Field Applications professional. As a key member of the Technical Support/Customer Care Department, you will have extensive diagnostic lab experience and in-depth knowledge of the national and international standards, guidelines and regulations providing the framework for Clinical Diagnostics.
You will be primarily responsible for providing technical support and expertise to existing and potential customers across NSW & ACT, but also occasionally nationally.
You will be using your previous Pathology Lab experience and training (in areas like Biochemistry/Clinical Chemistry/Haematology) to install, train and provide troubleshooting assistance for instrumentation, software and reagent systems in hospitals, private pathology and medical research laboratories.
Responsibilities
In this post-sales support position, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
• Providing application and maintenance training and support to the company’s customers
• Managing the entire process from installation, implementation to customer go-live by following the program for verification, validation and implementation of systems & assays.
• Providing customer education and technical expertise by introducing product clinical values and demonstrating product features to meet customers’ unmet needs.
• Keeping abreast of the current and future market dynamics (competitors’ products, …)
• Educating customers on products’ availability
• Interpreting customers’ needs and taking responsibility for problem resolution amongst other functions liaising with the customer on administrative and technical matters
• Meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualified (e.g. BSc/MSc/PhD)
- At least 3 to 5 years of Pathology Lab experience, especially in the fields of Biochemistry/Clinical Chemistry/Haematology
- Existing Field Applications experience will be highly regarded (although not a must)
- Good commercial acumen/understanding
- Solid understanding of the public and private Pathology Laboratory environment
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Positive energy, dynamic attitude, and strong work ethic
- Ability to travel to metro and more regional areas within NSW & ACT
