Focusing on OEM Grinding Mills you will be responsible in playing a crucial part in performing and coordinating service activities relating to machines, spares and wears, and providing customers with technical services. In this position, you will report to the Senior Service Manager. This role will allow opportunities to gain experience and training on Flotation and Thickeners to an advanced and superior industry level.Team you will belong to:You will join a team of high achieving Service Technicians dedicated to providing technical liaison services between customers, product divisions and sales personnel.This team mobilizes collectively and autonomously based on the needs of our customer sites and the ability to do site-based work is essential. The variety of works offered due to this provides exceptional opportunities for career and skill set growth.What you’ll do:Provide hands-on mechanical service work in the field to Metso customers across the state.Perform technical evaluations and analyze equipment and machine component failures.Collaborate with our Sales teams to ensure opportunity to promote products and services to customers are captured.Supervise and oversee Field Service projects on customer sitesPrepare post site reports, time sheets and expenses after site visitsSupport quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning and costing informationPromote Technical Support value add and support Technical Support TeamsSupport warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicableIdentify equipment in the field at the customer site that is not in our installed base, trigger data basic data input into CRMTo be successful in this role you will need:A Mechanical trade qualification from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in the Mining industries working with Grinding Mills, and ideally Flotation and Thickeners.Task experience to include but not limited to: Drive line installation and alignment, gearbox replacement.Basic rigging and dogging understanding desirable.Basic computer literacy in MS Office – Word and ExcelMust have current motor vehicle license.Must be able to pass random medical and drug tests.Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical schematics.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in the usage of databases and MS Project.What's in it for you?Extensive learning opportunities - ongoing growth dialogues, internal mobility, mentoring programs, education assistance, ambitious projects, and global opportunities.Wellbeing and safety - benefit from occupational healthcare, generous benefits plan, healthy living rewards, mental well-being services, on-site gym, meal benefits, car/bicycle benefits, and engagement surveys.Annual bonus - global incentive programs tied to business and performance targets.Hybrid working possibilities - while we are big advocates of meeting and collaborating in person, we believe in fostering a flexible work environment.Worldwide support - leverage our network of peers across the world, offering valuable assistance.
