Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Field Service Technician to provide field installation support, training, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues in APAC. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-managed, flexible, service-oriented, and possesses strong integrity and professionalism. Significant travel is required, mainly within Australia & New Zealand. This role is based in our Melbourne plant, reporting to the Lifecycle Services Manager (South APAC).
Main Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide installation and start-up support for new major ARB installations at customer sites.
- Provide customers with operator and maintenance training.
- Conduct maintenance and health checks of installed ARB equipment, spirals, and other Intralox belting-equipped conveyors.
- Troubleshoot and provide on-site repairs or replacements as needed. Write service reports & communicate with stakeholders.
- Conduct product testing on ARB systems, in our Melbourne facility.
- Coordinate factory acceptance tests of finished equipment in-house or at customer sites.
- Management and maintenance of Tradeshow & demonstration equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Suitable education in Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent work experience with industry qualifications.
- Necessary licenses to perform Field Services, including valid and current driver's license.
- Minimum of three years experience in a Field Service role involving mechanical/electrical expertise.
- Strong mechanical & electrical/controls aptitude. Basic electrical skills and VFD/PLC experience are a plus.
- Ability to travel frequently, with minimal notice.
- Practical and "hands-on" problem solver
- Able to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
- Fluent in English, with excellent written & verbal communication skills. Energetic, well organized, and a team player
- Service and customer-oriented
- Strong knowledge of conveyance systems is highly beneficial.
- Must be able to travel internationally. Must have a Passport. Must have the COVID vaccination requirements.
