Your opportunity:
Urban Utilities is looking for a Field Systems Technician to join our Environmental and Industrial group. The role includes responsibility for designing, selecting, installing and maintaining remote and in-situ monitoring systems to meet customer requirements.
The Field Systems Technician will work independently and provide technical skills in data collection and analysis, health and safety, quality testing, and customer service. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, managing personal performance, and supporting a culture of innovation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the water and utilities industry and hold relevant professional accreditation.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Collect and analyse data using tools and methods across a variety of locations and clients (such as pools, industrial sites and flood zones)
- Follow safety policies and procedures to protect the environment and people.
- Test products to make sure they meet standards and report accordingly.
- Help customers and identify new business opportunities with a genuine commitment to adding value.
About you:
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- A degree in Science / Enviro or significant experience in the Water Industry in a similar role
- Passionate about the latest gadgets and emerging technology, being just as comfortable on a laptop as you are in the field.
- Want flexibility in your work and real career pathways; the Samplers are on the fast track to the greater Environmental Team.
- A confident communicator, able to speak to people of various technical capabilities in a clear and understandable pace, ensuring clear comprehension.
