Operating in the Aged Care and Health care industry this organisation provide a full range of health care services including at home care, aged care, Retirement villages and dementia Care etc.
They are currently underway with a number of new initiatives, restructures and transformation projects resulting in some changes resulting in their community care branch becoming centralised.
About the Role
This is a new role for a Finance Administrator in the Community Care department. The role includes extensive customer contact, following up on overdue accounts, account reconciliations, general administrative tasks, and an opportunity to refine processes and contribute new ideas to the team.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent phone and email communication skills, maintaining a friendly and professional manner
- Are a customer focused individual with an ability to build and maintain strong, meaningful relationships with team members, clients and other stakeholders with ease
- Ability to understand and explain financial information (customer account statements/ invoices)
- Have demonstrated experience in accounting software, or the ability to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to Identify what policies could be impacted and provide suggested changes
- Work closely with the team to ensure that customer needs and outcomes are being considered and factored into solutions.
- Ability to identify which business processes need to be revised, created, or removed
- Ensuring any role-specific business process documentation is up to date and visible and transparent to everyone in the business
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience in both Customer service and administration roles
- An excellent telephone manner
- An empathetic approach
- An understand of payments, collection and credit control will be desirable.
- Have demonstrated experience in accounting software, will be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail
