The Role:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working collaboratively with the Directors and the wider Finance team, you will provide high-quality general financial administration support to our legal team including:
- daily recording and processing of trust account payments, receipts and reconciliations;
- processing bank account transactions and preparing reconciliations;
- accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks;
- preparing month-end journals;
- management reporting, including individual fee generation and WIP;
- Law Society SA requirements, including Combined Trust Accounts; and
- general finance administrative tasks as required.
As a valued member of the team, you will have:
- experience with MYOB and/or Xero systems, and ideally with legal practice management systems;
- proven experience with Statutory Trust Accounts, bank reconciliations; accounts payable, accounts receivable, debtor management and reporting;
- sound administrative skills and proficiency in Excel;
- the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines;
- outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; and
- enthusiasm and drive to enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced role.
Ideally you will have, or working towards, tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
